In less than a year since its introduction to Librarians, 43 Academic and Public Libraries have now acquired ESE, Inc. CEO Eric Simmons' Memoir, "Not Far From The Tree," the Company reported today. The updated numbers take into account individual Libraries within a "System" that have a copy of the book. 7 of the Libraries are ranked in the "100 Largest U.S. Libraries." To date, purchases have been made by 3 of the 5 "Largest Public Libraries" in the Country (New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles). 2 other procurers are in the "Top 25" (Cleveland and Cuyahoga County). Two of the Academic Libraries (Washington University in St. Louis and Auburn University) have more volumes than the Public Libraries mentioned and rank as the 53rd and 85th largest Libraries (overall) in the U.S. Brodart, an international product and Library Services company has also purchased the book which brings the total Library related purchases to 44.
